Experimental: informal region names (e.g. "Bayerischer Wald") are inconsistently mapped worldwide - coverage varies a lot by area, this is not a complete layer.
⚠ CAUTION: TEST MODE ⚠
⚠ No wind data available - the weather model request failed (e.g. daily quota, network). Trajectory and landing area can't be calculated until it succeeds again.
⚠ GPS data not available

Quick Start
- Landing Area (top-left toggle): always shows the currently predicted landing area, live.
- Plan Descent has two subfunctions (small switch appears below it):
- Quick Descent: tap anywhere on the map for a direct-descent plan to that point.
- Staged Descent: drag the orange marker along the cyan reference trajectory to see every landing point reachable by pausing at intermediate altitudes, then tap inside that area for a specific stage-by-stage plan.
- Header icons turn map layers on/off (power lines, roads/places, airspace, ground wind, nature reserves, non-landable terrain, experimental region names). A small dot shows loading (yellow) / ready (green).
- The blue zigzag icon next to the weather model name opens a detailed wind sounding - full wind barbs by altitude, comparison against other models, and a droppable map marker for checking wind anywhere.
- Test Mode (top-right) lets you set a position manually - useful on the ground or if GPS drops out.
- The red warning-triangle button (left of Test Mode) prepares an emergency position report for WhatsApp/SMS/Email.
- Sliders under "Descent Parameters" drive both functions - drag the orange cross marker in Quick Descent, or use the Staged Descent sliders (total time budget, inter-stage rate) for the other subfunction.
- Flight profiles (Settings → Flightprofile Data, or at login) let a team share one set of settings, saved to and loaded from a common store by name + PIN - handy for switching devices or pilots mid-campaign.
⚠ Fill in Settings first - your aircraft registration, pilot contact numbers, and SMS/email recipients all need to be set up there before the emergency button can send a useful report.
